Karisma Kapoor, nicknamed "Lolo" (born 25 June 1974 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India) is a National Film Award-winning popular Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films.
Making her film debut in 1991, Kapoor went on to become one of the most popular actresses of her generation. During her career years, she has been part of many commercially and critically successful films, Raja Hindustani being the most notable of them, as it was one of the biggest hits of its decade, and won Kapoor her first Filmfare Best Actress Award.
She surprised critics and audiences with her performances in art films such as Fiza (2000) and Zubeidaa (2001), for which she earned a Best Actress and Best Actress (Critics) awards at the Filmfare ceremony. Since then, she has worked in several films though most of them performed poorly at the box office. In 2003, Kapoor took a break from cinema and is likely to make her comeback very soon.
Karisma made her debut in the 1991 movie Prem Qaidi, which was a semi-hit. Although most of her multiple releases from 1992-1996 failed to do well at the box office, she had some success with films like Jigar (1992), Anari (1993), Raja Babu (1994), Coolie No. 1 (1995), Saajan Chale Sasural (1996) and Jeet (1996).

Gayatri Joshi Bollywood Actress


Gayatri Joshi (born 20 March 1977 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India) is a model turned Bollywood actress. Her first and only film, is the 2004 released, Swades.
Gayatri Joshi, was born to Marathi-speaking parents and is a graduate of Sydenham College, Mumbai. She began her modeling career in 1996 while still in college. She studied at the JB Vachha High School in Dadar in Central Mumbai. She studied in Mt. Carmel High School when she was in Nagpur, thus she is native of Nagpur.
She was one of the final five candidates in the 1999 Femina Miss India beauty pageant, and was crowned Sony Entertainment Channel's My Miss India-voted by viewers, and was chosen to represent India at the 2000 Miss International event in Japan. She has worked as an advertising model in addition to making appearances in several music videos: She appeared in music videos of Jagjit Singh’s Kaghaz Ki Kashti and Hansraj Hans’ Jhanjaria.
While she was still in college, she modeled for Bombay Dyeing, Philips, Ponds, Godrej, Sunsilk, LG as well as the Hyundai ad with Shahrukh Khan. She has also modeled for Seasons Catalogue and Calendar during 2001.
She made her Bollywood debut in December 2004 in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s film Swades opposite Shahrukh Khan. Dark-haired Gayatri stands approximately 5'9" tall, weighs 49 kilos, and measures 35-26-35.

Amisha Patel (born June 9, 1977, also known as Ameesha Patel) is an Indian Bollywood actress. Making her acting debut in the blockbuster Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000), Patel won critical praise for her performance in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which became one of the biggest hits in the history of Hindi cinema.She would subsequently star in a number of films, most of which proved unsuccessful at the box office. She graduated from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. She then worked for Morgan Stanley. After returning to India she joined Satyadev Dubey's theatre group and began acting in plays, but only after receiving permission from her conservative parents.

Mahima Chaudhury (born 13 September 1973 in , Kelowna, British Columbia , Canada, whose real name is Ritu Chaudhury, is a popular Indian actress. Chaudhury, is a former model. Soon as she made her film debut with the hit Pardes in 1997, she proved her acting abilities and went on to make many critically acclaimed roles during her years in the industry.
Mahima was a model before she became a Bollywood actress, once appearing with Aishwarya Rai in a Pepsi commercial. Simultaneously she also hosted the entertainment TV show, Public demand. Her first breakthrough performance, where she won rave reviews, was Pardes (1997) as Ganga, the love interest of two men played by Shahrukh Khan and Apoorva Agnihotri. She was chosen to be the female lead among about 3,000 applicants who auditioned for Pardes. Her career was launched by Subhash Ghai who had also launched the careers of popular actresses like Madhuri Dixit and Manisha Koirala.
She has been said to have changed her name to Mahima Chaudhury since Subhash Ghai has a superstitious belief of launching big careers with actresses whose names start with the letter 'M', but this is not the case, she has kept her real name as she believes that her real name is a very personal part of her and something that she wants to keep. She won rave review for her first performance in Pardes (1997) as a village girl who still values her culture. Unlike most top actresses in India, she didn't mind playing supporting roles in films (example: Dhadkan (2000), Dil Kya Kare (1999)).
Apart from her role in Pardes (1997), she also won acclaims on her role as Kavita, the devoted wife of Ajay Devgan in Dil Kya Kare (1999) which earned her a second filmfare nomination. She was also nominated for her performances in Dhadkan and Dobara. She has worked with numerous actresses including Kajol, Shilpa Shetty, Amisha Patel, Urmila Matondkar, Manisha Koirala, Raveena Tandon, Rekha, Preity Zinta, Tabu, Padmini Kolhapure, and Hema Malini. Nagma Controversial Indian Actress



Nandita Morarji (Namratha Sadhana) better known as Nagma is a somewhat controversial Indian actress, known primarily for her work in Bollywood and Kollywood. At her peak in the 1990s, she "dominated Tamil cinema," to quote The Hindu.

Vidya Balan (born January 1, 1978) is an award-winning Indian actress who appears in Bollywood movies.
Balan, who began her career starring in many music videos, soap operas and commercials, made her acting debut in the Bengali film, Bhalo Theko (2003), for which she won critical acclaim.
She later made her Hindi film debut with Parineeta (2005), for which she received a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award, and received her first commercial success with Rajkumar Hirani's Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006). Balan has thus established herself as one of the most promising actresses of the industry.
