A two-metre long snake has escaped into a UK city suburb.
The two-metre long brown snake slipped out of its home and is now loose on the streets of Chatham, Southern England. Locals have been warned not to touch the snake and report it immediately if they find it. Dave Coleman of Kent Police said: "People should not touch it or attempt to pick it up by the tail as these snakes can bite." Boa constrictors don't have a poisonous bite, but are famous for squeezing their prey to death. Police don't think the boa will be hungry as it has recently been fed, but are taking precautions - warning locals to keep windows and doors closed, and shut small animals in their houses.

Turned up late. Booed again... With a vacant, glazed expression she mumbled and forgot the lyrics.

Who would have thought that Madonna, our international icon, would still be writhing around and thrusting her pelvis at our screens semi naked...and getting away with it. Incredible!

Love her or hate her, she's made an amazing career of using the next best producers and songwriters. With her own unique style and personality she's courted controversy and grabbed headlines for herself over the years, disguising he fact that she is both a mediocre singer and dancer. And in the age of 'American Idol' probably wouldn't have even got past the first round. Madonna has tapped into the publics hunger for a female chameleon spouting cheesey pop songs and she's done it extremely well. In the incredibly fickle and cut throat music business Madonna is still a major player, continuing to grow old disgracefully.

Stonewall was founded in 1989 by a small group of women and men who had been active in the struggle against  Section 28 of the Local Government Act.

Section 28 was an offensive piece of legislation designed to prevent the so-called 'promotion' of homosexuality in schools; as well as stigmatising gay people it also galvanised the gay community.

The aim from the outset was to create a professional lobbying group that would prevent such attacks on lesbians, gay men and bisexuals from ever occurring again. Stonewall has subsequently put the case for equality on the mainstream political agenda by winning support within all the main political parties and now has offices in England, Scotland and Wales.

Funnyman Bernie Mac, star of Ocena's Thirteeen died on Saturday from complications due to pneumonia.

So the Beijing Olympics have opened and the media are raving about just how spectacular it was. The Telegraph describes it as 'the most breathtaking open ceremony ever seen.' Guess you have to be quite happy with that.

That's all well and good, but if it's all style with no substance, shallow with no depth or control with no freedom, it's a bit crap isn't it? Not to mention contrived. I'm talking about the way China continues to act towards Tibet and the way it denies freedom of speech to it's inhabitants. Personally, I don't care how colorful and breathtaking the ceremony was, I care about the human rights of the Tibetans (and Chinese people) and the way every human deserves to be treated with respect.

Ditch the hypocrisy of pretending to be accomodating for the next fortnight and actually do something about the extremely volatile situation happening on their door step.

So L'oreal have been accused of lightening Beyonce's skin colour in their new ad. I thought the whole point was to give presence to the Afro race so L'oreal promotes diversity and all colours of the human race are represented. It's a real shame if they feel they need to whiten her even more to appeal to the masses. Since all photographs are heavily air brushed anyway it could simply be the case that someone got a little over eager with the editing process! A few too many beers as it were... 

But if all ads are proofed, this new ad shouldn't really have made it through the approval process. Beyonce's natural skin colour is light enough as it is, surely there's no need to lighten her healthy skin tone a few shades. Totally unnecessary.
