I got scooped on a story because I’m too lazy to write. I installed the Zune 3.1 updates yesterday and ran through the navigation before I played each of the new games. I like the new games for Zune, the graphics are much nicer than previous games. As I was running through I noticed a button on a game for Zune that said Touch. I knew right away they had built this in for a future Zune touch device and I should write something about it here on Zune MAX.
Instead I went on and wrote some other junk on another website and missed an opportunity to be the first to write on something. So this guy RyJones sent a video to Gizmodo and they posted it this morning.
I wonder if we can expect a Zune Touch screen device some time soon or may we see Games for Zune on some other manufacturers touch device?
I actually saw this ad on tv two nights ago. I thought it was kinda generic but better than most of the early Zune ads. The new Zune 3.0 add features musician and actor Common and highlights the new Zune 3
I’ve owned 5 different kinds of iPods, as well as the original Zune, and I must say, that this product is by far the best of the group. I spent the day trying to return my iPod Classic (80GB)so that I could get my hands on one of these—and I had to look just about everywhere in town to find one. Is this better than the iPod Classic? Undoubtedly. I can make a fair comparison, as I have been toying with the Classic for the last two weeks.
Things are getting worse in the economy and lots of people are losing their jobs. it may be a tough holiday for lots of Americans who are overloaded with debt from credit card and bad mortgages. This is not the first gamer to be sponsored but has got to be the biggest sponsorship deal in professional gaming.
Obviously this is just the beginning of what should be bigger and better sponsorship deals as video gaming creeps into every facet of pop culture.

Following Wheaties’ tradition of promoting sports figures on its boxes, Dr. Pepper announced Wednesday that it will be featuring a 21-year-old professional videogamer on its bottles.
The face of Jupiter native Tom Taylor, or Tsquared when he’s playing Halo 3 competitively, will be printed on 175 million bottles starting in January.
I’ve been a bit worried about the economy and my financial security over the last month or so. I’ve never really worried about my job as a work from home web developer and I have done well for myself but the downturn in the economy has turned into a downturn in online traffic and sales and my monthly earnings are way down.
I don’t have a career or degree to fall back on so I’ve been thinking I need to do more for my future. I have considered many options but an online degree sounds like a good choice for me. I practically live online and an online degree would the best way for me to further my education without having school take over my life. A technology degree may be useful in a job hunt if I ever decided to go out job hunting.
A career in technology might just be what I need. Then again maybe I’ll just blog more and hope that takes off.
This Zune player skin from Decal Girl looks nice in blue with a cool Dragon on the back. Zune skins are a great way to protect your Zune player from small bumps and bruises as well as scratches to the finish although Zune is pretty tough. Having a custom Zune would be cool but having a new Zune each week or two is even better and with a new Zune skin you an actually have a different player ever day.
Microsoft stock is at a 10 year low and although it’s drop over the past year is inline with the drop for the S&P 500 the stockholders at the software giant have to be putting on the pressure for them to make something work. Microsoft has been making some huge investments in just about everything including search, Xbox and of course Zune and burning up a lot of cash trying to be the everything and everywhere company.
Zune has not been setting any sales records and Microsoft is making a move that should help out for sales this Holiday season. Yesterday they announced that there would be a permanent price cut on Zune players and accessories. The price move may not be enough to put Zune on top of sales but with the new firmware updates every so many months you get a lot for your money.
I was watching the news this morning and the news anchor made a comment about a story I had just missed but it was to the effect that she hoped it was “not the same as when Microsoft told us Zune was going to kill iPod” and I told myself that Zune was still trying to get over the botched launch and would for a long time to come.

Zune MAX gets quite a bit of traffic to our blog and we have had our troubles with website hosting. The site has been stable for the last 3 months and we’re happy with things but I am considering a move to a new website hosting provider.
The site has been stable and the service is reliable but the server setup is not what I wanted and the customer service has been pretty bad. My entire server was shut down for a day because of a billing snafu. I paid my website hosting fees but requested an add on for a Shoutcast server and the auto billing did not charge me for the addon fees.
When the bill was 10 days late they shut off the server and left us hanging. I was pretty upset with the fact I paid my website hosting bill but still had my server shut down for a $15 add on that should have been billed. Since then Ihave had multiple issues with the billing department trying to get my credit card on file to cover these type of incidents again. They offer a live support online but they never actually do anything to resolve my troubles. Everytime I try to get live help they tell me I have to send an email and create a trouble ticket.
When they shut the server down they reset my passwords. It took me two days to have them fix the passwords so I could login to administrate my sites. Thats when I realized it was time to search for new website hosting services. I’ll probably just take on multiple accounts so my sites are split and not all on one server.
Here is an odd list of the artists used by Zune for promotions etc. These would be the first Zune artists I suppose. The article is kinda odd with little more than the list for us.
I think the list could be larger if you include artists such as the Zune pre load artists or those who have worked with Zune at concerts like Mims and Morgan Heritage. There are also quite a few more artists that have had relationships with Zune and even some who have had their own Zune player. I guess it depends on how you label a Zune artist for them to make the list.
I think Zune should push the player on more artists and they should open it up to new musicians a little faster. if an artist could use his Zune to help promote his music it would be a much cooler device.

I have two sons to purchase gifts for this Christmas. I think I’m going to get my oldest son his own Zune player for the Holidays. He’s only 9 but he’s been using mine for a long time now and I think it’s time he got his own media player.
